Bellingham Technical College offers transferable courses, certificates and degrees. It is recommended that prospective students confer with an Advisor to determine course or program transferability.

To determine transferability of credits already earned at Bellingham Technical College, students must request an official BTC transcript be forwarded to the college where they wish to have credits evaluated. The receiving college will determine the transferability of course work completed at BTC. Contact the Registrar at any other college you wish to send transcripts to for evaluation. Official BTC transcripts are available through BTC's Registration & Enrollment Office.

Transferring Credit to Bellingham Technical College  (back to top)
A student requesting transfer credit must complete a Request for Award of Transfer Credit form, attach transcript with course description, and submit to Admissions. Official copies of transcripts are required for evaluation. A course description of the equivalent course submitted with the request will assist in evaluating the content. Click here for a select guide of courses taken prior to 2007 at other Community and Technical colleges that are equivalent to BTC's general education courses.

BTC considers credit from Tech Prep, and coursework from other accredited institutions. Only courses completed at an accredited college or university with an earned grade of "C" or better will be considered for equivalent transfer credit. Date of completed coursework may also be considered. BTC also recognizes credit for prior experiential learning, available only to currently enrolled students. Prior learning experience credit will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
